Northamptonshire Community Foundation is the leading independent grant-making charity in the County, working with a range of fund holders and donors to ensure projects make a sustainable impact on local need. As one of 46 Community Foundations across the UK, the Foundation delivers a variety of funding to the local voluntary and community sector, awarding grants of over £1million annually. Northamptonshire Community Foundation is dedicated to funding community-based action which improves the lives of Northamptonshire’s most disadvantaged people and communities. Child poverty, unemployment, homelessness, domestic violence and social isolation are just some of the issues the Foundation strives to tackle each year. One of these grants is the High Sheriff’s Initiative Fund, which encourages the development of projects that bring people closer to their communities to create a more cohesive society.
