I am in awe of the work of the amazing team at Change, Grow Live (CGL). Their 4 bases in Northampton, Wellingborough, Kettering and Corby currently support over 1800 people. They are charity that help with challenges including drugs, alcohol, housing, health and wellbeing, supporting rough sleepers and prison leavers get their lives back on track and supporting mental health problems.

Thank you very much to South Northants Community Responders who invited us to their training night at the Braye Learning & Development Centre. We were treated to an excellent presentation from St Andrew’s Healthcare on Mental Health …. and illness. This amazing team of volunteers regularly respond to 2,000 calls a year in assisting Ambulance services and an extraordinary 8,000 hours since January, helping at vaccination centres. There are 8 such schemes in Northants - we are so lucky to have such dedicated teams supporting our resources in the county. @SNCResponders #communityresponders, #firstresponse #CFR

My thanks to Brackley Town FC for their warm welcome to their terrific new clubhouse this week.
This wonderful new facility is enjoyed by the The Saints (Brackley) Community Trust on Wednesdays. I met
many senior members of the community, led by Kim Grantham, who works with the club to help the vulnerable in the area. They are once again able to meet up and enjoy delicious home baked
refreshments and fresh produce donated by willing volunteers, Fare Share and the local branch of Waitrose.
There is also a great team of additional volunteers who help in many ways not least by hosting their wonderful senior football team.
Rosie Moffat and Mike Bosher are among those who have worked so hard to rebuild their club building which was destroyed by fire.

Hats off to Kettering Food Bank who have been working incredibly hard to make sure nobody goes hungry in the Kettering area.
I met some of the amazing team of volunteers, Jane Calcott, Jane Stone, Barbara Stone and Tony Stone.
They provide a wide range of fresh, dried, tinned and chilled food, toiletries, toys….you name it! Wonderful support with deliveries etc from

Honoured to attend the Northampton Bangladeshi Freedom 50 Celebrations at University of Northampton campus, marking independence achieved in 1971. We welcomed an intrepid group of cyclists who have cycled from Bangladeshi communities in Manchester, via Oldham and Birmingham before continuing to Luton and London, helping the children of Bangladesh.
